If we were having coffee today, you would see how quiet it is here. It seems that the only sounds all day Saturday and thus far today, have been the pouring rain and the tires of an occasional car moving through the puddles. I don’t think it has stopped raining for even one minute for well over twenty-four hours. And that’s okay with me.
It’s hibernation time. After the short snow storm and the ice that following, people are hunkered down indoors. I think. It’s almost like everything stopped on Wednesday as we waited for the snow and now it’s taking a while for people to get out and about again.
On Saturday, I just stayed pretty close to bed. It was very cold in there. I had the heat on and the thermostat said it was 69 but it felt much colder so I bundled up in bed and slept then read. I ventured out into the living room for a little while and read some more but I ended back in the bedroom under the covers. I read more yesterday than I have in the last three months combined. I’m currently reading Nicholas Sparks newest book, Two By Two. I was lucky enough to grab it during Cyber Monday sales on Amazon last week. I don’t think I would be reading it otherwise.
I would also tell you that Solveig’s Advent Calendar on her blog has one of my new Christmas stories posted today. You might want to go take a look. I will, most likely reblog it here sometime this week but go take a look at it. I’ve written another new one, a short one, which I believe will be on another blog later in the coming days. I’ll let you know about that one, too. I’m hoping to write another new one this week. I’ve an idea for one but I haven’t sat down to actually write it out. We’ll see if I get to it.
What is up with you? Are you finished with any holiday shopping you might need to do? Will you be traveling for the holiday this year? What is going on with your weather where you are?

I am cold until the temperature reach 75 degrees Fahrenheit. Keeping warm under covers is something I like to do. I hate getting up in the morning. This last storm was something else and another is forecast for this week.

Holiday shopping not even started yet as we need to brave through the mad mall crowds. 🙂 It’s always a welcoming treat to stay at home when the whether is cozy. Hope you stay warm though! Have a great week!
