If we were having coffee today, I would be in a rush because it’s my grandson’s third birthday and the party is right now. My internet is out at home so I am sitting in the car outside my daughter’s house typing this so I can send it from her connection.
I ran around this morning because, true to form, my daughter didn’t get stuff for the kids’ goodie bags so she let me know around midnight that she wanted me to go get stuff! Thank goodness we have a Dollar Tree nearby!
Last night I went to a fundraiser for the local high school’s Senior Night. It was a bus ride, yes with drinking, to the casino. I didn’t now a soul because I don’t have anyone in any of the schools here anymore. It was still fun. Fireball shots. Seven and seven. Fireball with 7-Up. That last one I made up myself and it got to be quite popular with the drinkers on the bus! I never participated in anything with a crowd like the one last night where it seemed to be “anything goes”. On the way back, there were several drunken couples dancing in the aisle…on a moving bus…provocatively. Interesting seen. If the kids had planted a camera on the bus, they would have a lot of “blackmail material” on their parents!
Well, it is quite difficult to type this in the car so I think will cut it short and go join the party where there is a mimosa with my name on it!
I’m currently participating in the A to Z Blogging Challenge with a theme of Abuse. I hope you’ll stop by and take a look at my Monday through Saturday posts in April.
Tell me about you. How was your week? Any plans for the coming week? Reading any interesting books? Are you participating in A to Z? If so, please leave me a link in the comments so I can stop by.
Hope the birthday party was a success!
My freshmen year of college I went with the ski club to Colorado. It was a 30 hour drinking party. Not as bad on the way back, but the way there… So I can imagine alcohol on a bus. But in my case it was the kids, it’s funnier with the parents!
Have a great week!

The party was fun and the bonus was that my youngest daughter got to come because she lives in town now. She has always been too far to come.
Those parents were quite funny. I hope none of them regret anything they did last night because that would taint all their fun.

I don’t think I could ride a bus and consume alcohol at the same time! You have a much better constitution than I! Sounds like quite a party.

I think the worst is consuming booze on a moving ship! I did that once, in Hawaii. My then husband and I took a sunset dinner cruise that the locals called “the booze cruise” only we didn’t know it til the day after. LOTS of booze!

OH! I hope the party (and the mimosa) was divine! Kids parties really are the best 🙂

Both the party and the mimosa were wonderful. It was an early party and everyone was gone by 4 and the house was left clean! The moms that came were the kind that make sure their kids clean up their mess before leaving! Yay!

I don’t think I’d have the guts to go on a trip like that alone..daughter with me or not! A socially awkward situation at best for me!! But glad you did and had fun!!
