It seems that things are never okay with me these days. Every time we have coffee, there is some kind of crisis. So if we were having coffee today, I would once again have to tell you that not all is great. If you are a praying person, please consider a prayer for my grandson who is not due until May 18. My daughter-in-law went into early labor last night at 27 weeks. They’ve stopped it for now and are hopeful that they can delay at least another week. She is in the hospital but might be going home to bed rest tomorrow, Sunday. They are hopeful that they can prevent further contractions and dilation. She needs to keep the baby in as long as possible. Every week is one week closer. So if you pray, please consider praying that Sarah keeps that little boy in for as long as possible.
There were lots of not so happy things this week but instead of talking about those, I will tell you that this week, when I went to volunteer in my grandson’s kindergarten classroom, he asked if I would stay and have lunch with him in the cafeteria so I did. He was very sweet, saving me a place next to him while I got a tray. He told everyone they couldn’t sit there because his Nana was sitting there. When it was time for him to go play he stayed sitting in the cafeteria because I had told him I would stay until he went out to play and he didn’t want me to leave so he wanted to stay inside. They finally kicked us out when the older kids came in for lunch!
I’m typing this quickly because I have to get ready to go volunteer for a spaghetti dinner and silent auction at his school that begins in a little over two hours! I enjoy volunteering there. Then I will come home and pack a bag in case I am needed in Seattle for my son. I told him I would drive up, even if it was just for moral support, if they want me to. So I’m on call.
This week I will be re-reading To Kill A Mockingbird and Go Set A Watchman. I’m postponing other reading for a few days. What are you reading? Anything you’ve watched that you can recommend? Please tell. What good things can you share? And of course, if you need to vent, this is the place. Anything you want to vent about?
