I was up early-early this morning, not really able to sleep last night. I checked Facebook and realized it was Thursday already (funny how it can be Tuesday one minute and then Thursday the next) as I looked at friends’ throwback Thursday (TBT) pictures. I remembered one I had scanned onto my laptop to use for TBT and figured I might upload it to Facebook later, once I got the energy to sit up for a bit. Then, as I read Trent’s blog and saw his Throwback Thursday picture, I figured why not post mine here?! So in absence of much else to say, I’ll leave you with the picture which was taken in November of 1980, about a month before I turned 25! Oh, and forgive the horrid orange drapes, that’s what was in the house when we bought it a month before the picture was taken.

almost 25? You don’t look 15 like you said in the one comment, you look closer to 13 😉 The drapes are a left over from the early 70s when taste went away for a few years.

Smokey was a nice kitty. He actually found me. He came to the front door about a week after we moved into the house and cried and cried until I opened the door and let him in. He was a kitten so I’ve always thought that maybe the people that we bought the house from left him behind. He was a good kitty.

Today I was able to keep food down so that’s better. Nothing raw. No veggies. No fruit. No dairy. But at least I can eat some protein and keep it down.

Certainly you made a typo! You had to have been in your early teens there, not twenty-five! And don’t you remember the 70’s? THE colors were gold and avocado green! I had a little TV set just like the one in the background that I took to college with me! And then Bubba used it almost twenty years later in his bedroom!!

My parents bought me that TV the first Christmas I went to college because they found out I was going into the dorm basement by myself to watch Johnny Carson late at night. They didn’t think it was safe so they bought the TV for me. I had it for about ten years then loaned it to my sister who lost it when she was evicted from her apartment. Good little TV set. Good memories.
