I would not normally do this but so many if you have sent inquiries so I’ll post an update.
First, if you are squeamish, don’t read this, please.
Because the pain went away, I figured I was fine but in the past two days my skin is yellow tinned, my pee is brown, and yesterday my poop turned green. Not good. No pain this time but I’m also very weak and I can’t eat anything.
So I’m sitting in the clinic waiting for my appointment which is not for another hour. The Dr. came out between patients and took my vitals and medical history. So far, my pulse is quite elevated (104), my heart rate is elevated and so is my blood pressure. And after asking me a lit if questions I remembered that I had hepatitis in college (in the early 70’s).
Now I sit and wait. They’re going to do some lab work. But at least I came in. I’m not good at taking care of myself. I think if everyone else first but I need to do this for me, now.
Oh, Corina. I’m sorry you’re ill! I hope it turns out to be something easily taken care of. I’m glad you went to the clinic. I’m the same way, and usually wait until I’m almost in a panic to go.
Keep up informed of how you’re doing if you can. I’ll be thinking of you.

I’m at OHSU, in the ER on referral from the clinic. Had labs done. Waiting for a doctor to show up.

Thanks; you’re in good hands, medically speaking. I hope they give you results soon, so you can figure out what’s next.

The ER doctors pronounced it as chronic liver disease even tho I don’t have the medical or behavioral background for it. They ordered imaging and moved me to a room. Last night’s doctor, an internist says he’s less likely to call it that and more likely to call it pancreatitis.Butthere is also a great amount of fluid filling my abdomen that they don’t unite where it’s coming from. My belly is uncomfortably distended (i look like I’m 9 months pregnant). So he said today will be a lot of wait and see. Having a CT scan and waiting on lab analysis of the fluid they removed yesterday. He says I’ll probably be here two more days, minimum. More optimistic today. A lot less tears. Thank you for checking in on me.

I will update tomorrow.. I’m exhausted. Can’t sleep in hospitals. I may be going home tomorrow but will need to come back for a biopsy on April 9. The surgical team is good and have me feeling good about this. Yet I’ll write it up, mostly because I think there are lessons to be learned by us all. More Saturday.

I’m glad you’re able to go home—and I am so sorry you’ve had to go through this. Will watch for your update; rest up and take care. I don’t know how hospitals expect people to get any sleep when they wake you up every 20 minutes (or so it seems) to take blood pressure or jab you with something or whatever the heck it is they’re doing.

I’m so sorry to hear that you are not feeling well and have been hospitalized. I apologize for not having kept up on my reading of blogs like I should have, or I would have commented much sooner! I’m saying a prayer for you to receive good news and feel better real soon!
