Or maybe you can. Maybe it’s just me but if the title doesn’t make me want to read a book, I won’t. In fact, I don’t even get as far as the book cover if the title doesn’t capture me.
I am not making these up. Here is a list of book titles currently available from the Kindle Store:
I Love the Earl
Boomerang Bride
Bride Of the Wind [I guess she was thrown into the wind by that boomerang]
To Be A Man
Cult Of the Fly [Maybe a fly swatter would help]
Books
The Hare With the Pearl Earring
A Cold Piece
Courting the Clown
Trolls Wanted
and my favorite…wait…wait…it’s coming…wait…
Will Love For Crumbs
What were they thinking? I’m naming my next book “Fifty-one Shades of Gray.”
I hadn’t thought that much about titles I buy, but you are right. Many I reject outright because of titles. I need to see if I actually downloaded any with really out there titles. You made me curious. Also, I usually get a title for a short story delivered to my brain in one fell swoop. Seldom do I change that. Got to check those, too.
