Today an old friend popped into my head. I know that he did NaNoWriMo last year and I was curious to see if he was doing it again this year. I thought it would be fun to have a word war of sorts with him. I had his email address in my CompuServe address book, however my laptop was reformatted a couple of weeks ago and my desktop was reformatted in July. I couldn’t find the email address. I searched online but haven’t been able to find an email address for him, other than “headhoncho@[the name of his advertising company].com”. I don’t want to bother him at work. I don’t even know if he’ll get it. I have a feeling the “headhoncho” moniker is his, however it would be awkward if it wasn’t. I looked and looked. I googled and yahooed and goodsearched and dogpiled. No luck.
I find this interesting because he is a fairly “visible” person, yet I can’t find an email addy for him. I, on the contrary am a fairly “invisible” person and I get people crawling out of the woodwork looking for me … and finding me. In fact, that’s how my friend found me a while back. He got an inkling to look for me and searched for my maiden name and found me. It’s interesting to me that I can be found and others I look for cannot.
If you happen to live in AUSTIN, TEXAS, remember me from MPHS and the Tribune and your name is Larry, your birthday is in July (22nd is it?), and you are doing NaNoWriMo (or even if you aren’t), drop me a line. You know my address and if you don’t, leave a comment. I’ll come find you.
If you don’t want to be found, okay. I won’t come looking any more. But if memory serves, you’ll pop in on me come January. That’s when you seem to pop into my mailbox and say hello.
Hope you find him.

He’ll turn up sooner or later. He usually looks me up once a year or so.
