1. Tonight I watched Little Women, the 1990’s remake. I hadn’t seen it before. I’m glad I watched it. It reminded me that I should pick up the book once again. The last time I read it I was in fifth grade! It has been over forty years. Definitely time to pick it up again.
2. I came across tumblr.com the other day. I had not heard of tumblogging (or tumble blogging) until then. It’s an interesting idea. I’m debating with myself. One part of me wants to start a tumblog and another part says I’ve got enough here and should stick with this blog. The jury’s still out.
3. I’m getting excited about my trip. There is so much to do and think about and plan before leaving. Right now I don’t even know when I will leave Portland. I know my son and I leave from SFO to LAX then board a plane for Melbourne on October 3, however I don’t know yet if I am going to drive to the bay area or fly and when either of those will happen. I guess whatever happens, I will be on that plane to enjoy the trip with my son. We’re heading to Melbourne then to Cairns, then Sydney before heading back to SFO on the 17th. I find it funny that it is a 15 1/2 hour flight and we will still get back to San Francisco before we left Sydney, technically speaking!
4. I really love Freecycle. Yesterday I picked up an AC converter to use in Australia. Free. And it’s in like new condition. I really love Freecycle!
Timezones are crazy things. Have fun on your trip.
I reread Little Women a few years ago when my daughter had to read it for school. There was much to it that I had missed as a teen.

I love the 1990’s Little Women. I know it’s not exactly like the book, but I think it was really beautifully and lovingly made just the same.
